#34, A Night to Remember, by Walter Lord
This classic about the sinking of the Titanic lives up to its reputation. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the information, or whether subsequent scholarship has made this book outdated, but it is a fascinating story. I kept thinking, "If only they had hit the iceberg head-on. If only the Californian had responded. If only some of the half-filled life-boats had returned a little sooner. If only..." A well-told story of a tragic night.
