#41, N is for Noose, by Sue Grafton
I stopped reading the Kinsey Milhone mysteries around about "C is for Corpse". If I remember correctly, I was getting tired of the "Even though I'm a woman, I'm as tough as any man!" theme. This one wasn't bad, though. I much prefer detectives with at least some weaknesses, unlike the ex-special forces, able to fight his way out of any situation action heroes. I'm also tired of the "I had a tragedy in my life so I turned to drink and now I'm sober" stories too. So I liked this one. She figured it out because she was dogged in her investigation even though she was sometimes frightened and just a bit homesick.
