#8 Warriors of the Storm, by Bernard Cornwell

Another of the Saxon Chronicles, this one seems to be setting the table for the retaking of Bebbanburg, Uhtred's ancestral domain usurped by his uncle.  Even though it doesn't advance the story of the Saxon unifying of England very far, it still has its share of stirring battle scenes and is very entertaining.
