Read this Book!!! #9, Discerning the Will of God

I have a book to recommend to anyone who ever has to make a decision more important than “Pizza or burgers for lunch?”  It’s called “Discerning the Will of God:  An Ignatian Guide to Christian Decision Making”, by Fr. Timothy M. Gallagher, OMV.  I know, I know, it sounds dry as dust, but, by using frequent first person narratives, Fr. Gallagher gives us an engaging and easily understood explanation of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s rules for discernment.  The two main ingredients are prayer and wanting to do the will of God.  I know, I know, this sounds rather ethereal and oh, so spiritual, but read this book.  It is an immensely practical guide.  If you have any decisions you are struggling with, or know someone who might be in the future, this book may be the answer to your prayers.  I wish this book had been available to me when I was in college.  No fooling!

Book #8: Another Man's Moccassins, by Craig Johnson

Another Walt Longmire book.  No more need be said.  Pass the M&M's!
