#23, The Closers, by Michael Connelly

This book reminds me what good mystery writing is. After reading Mary Higgins Clark The Lost Years (don't waste your time) and Tami Hoag's The Bitter Season(pretty good), Michael Connelly's The Closers showed me a master at work. The personality of Harry Bosch comes through as complicated, contradictory, and messy--just like real people. The plotting is good, the story believable, and the secondary characters have some depth to them. This is why I like the Harry Bosch books.
